Periyar Jungle Camp, Thekkady

Canvas-walled safari tents on the edge of the Periyar Tiger Reserve buffer zone, run by the Paliyan tribal eco-tourism cooperative. The camp operates entirely on solar power. All food is sourced locally from tribal farming communities. Guided night safaris, morning bird walks and coracle rides on the Periyar River are included. Maximum 12 guests — keeping the experience intimate.
